**Update July 2016: Due to a bad relapse which led to being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Soo is temporarily taking a break from creating but hopes to be back to normal and working on the site again very soon. :)
Founded by Soo in 2010, The DeityChain is a family run business born out of a love for faeries, punk & gothic style and jewellery-making, together with a desire to run an ebusiness. We are based in the northwest of England.
Soo loves creating art in many forms, whether that be a piece of jewellery, a painting or a cute bag! Her passion is designing one-off pieces that are both personal and sentimental.
"I started making jewellery & cards for friends and family in 2008, i tried a couple of craft fayres and had a couple of concessions in local shops and after gaining more confidence, in early 2010 The Deitychain Online was born(!). Unfortunately this was cut short quite drastically due to an illness, but over the next few years i got stronger and eventually by 2014 i was ready to relaunch, and here we are!...
and it has evolved quite considerably since it first started! Initially all about the jewellery and the art, after taking the plunge to sell my own handcrafted bags it has become as much about the bags as the charms, and more recently, Deity Apparel, Deity Man and our new kinky range: When Deity Met Greywolf.. ooh-err missus!
I am passionate about handmade jewellery & Bags, and about providing an alternative to the mass-produced jewellery available on the high street. My aim is to create jewellery, bags & accessories that are both unique and wearable. My main influences are faeries, gothic/witch, punk, steampunk...... but all prettied up with a few girly touches and polkadots thrown in for good measure!
The result is a quirky funky jewellery & Bag collection that i hope reflects my magical inspirations."
